She often casts delayed Lightning Spells around the arena, warps away and attacks you with a barrage of spells. Maligaro is the easiest fight, just stay out of his ground spells and corpse explosions. After defeating the Vaal Oversoul, you can either wait out the long animation until the exit opens, or log out and log back in to take the Waypoint to the City of Sarn. This is its fastest move and can be dangerous, but if you move sideways from the lasers you'll be fine. ![]() If you're distant it shoots three lasers in succession that damage and shock you. Luckily it has no tracking, so you can simply just move to the other side of the boss. At close range it charges up a slam towards your position that kills you. ![]() The other moves depend on your distance to the Vaal Oversoul. This move can be dangerous if you stand still, so keep moving until it's over. It may also start an earthquake that makes rocks fall down on you. The boss can shoot icy projectiles in an arc that leave a ground effect to chill and damage you. Aside from that, it has four additional moves which are mostly slow and easily avoided. Everything here is streamlined to the max, and your only concerns are your health and sleepiness meters, the amount of water you are holding, the amount of animal food you are holding, and how much electricity your farm has. Harvest Life reminds me more of a mobile style game ported to the Nintendo Switch than a game built for consoles. Each can be upgraded with money at the local blacksmith, with no need for ores. ![]() ![]() These are your bucket, generator, axe, and sword. Instead, you have more main items at your disposal, and they will be used automatically when the time and place is right. There are no tools that you need to think about here, at least not like Harvest Moon style games. In Harvest Life, you take over your grandfathers farm – think you’ve heard this one before? Well, you have, and frankly the daily grind of this farming simulation title isn’t much different than other games, except this time around everything is much more streamlined.
